Cycling holidays in Argentina

Our dramatic cycling holiday in Argentina is all about crossing the Andes - the long and high mountain range that separates Argentina from Chile. Known for their stunning scenery and snow clad peaks, the mountains here also include a line of volcanoes and enclose many lakes, some of which have been used as trade routes over the centuries and now as a remarkable cycling route for you to enjoy with your guide. This is a leisurely ride with an E bike - yes really! and a bit more than that without, with daily distances about 20 miles. You will explore the plethora of lakes by foot and boat too taking you past dramatic waterfalls to breath taking panoramas. Magnificent, ancient and often impenetrable forests grow on both sides of the range here with the forests covering the mountains as high as the snow line.

There’s an interesting collection of boutique hotels, a rather amazing modern opera house and beer distillery, a handful of characterful towns, some with German influenced timber framed houses and last but not least the simply vast steaks that the Argentinians love to barbecue.
