Our walking holidays along The Thames offer a brilliant way to get to know England up close. As the river winds its way from source to sea, there is an extraordinary amount to see and absorb - a constantly evolving landscape of meadows, woodland, flat plains, hills and wetlands, history by the mile, pretty villages peppered along stunning rural sections, culturally significant landmarks and links to great British writers and painters. There’s also a chance to explore some of our finest cities and towns, including Oxford, Windsor, Eton, Marlow, Eton, Henley and Lechlade.

Whilst our routes do use parts of The Thames Path, we’ve only used the best sections. Having spent over 25 years creating itineraries in the area, our knowledge extends to some lesser-known routes, so where we’ve discovered a more interesting way to go, we divert from the path and use bridleways instead. The river offers an idyllic unhurried route and has inspired many writers and artists and we are sure you too will be touched by its charm.There are also some options to skip the walking and take a boat along the river if you fancy mixing it up a bit. There’s some highly-recommended pubs if you need to have a pit stop en route, and once you’ve arrived at your destination, you can expect to stay in the best hotels in the area.
